Ground was first broken in March 2014, the topping out ceremony was held in July and the final handover took place in March 2015 – this made up around twelve months for the construction of the entire administration building! We built a new central office for the Rendsburg customs office in record time. In order to guarantee the customer’s specific requirements, the planning team chose a largely traditional construction method. SANI worked under significant pressure to combine the decisive factors for solid construction with the advantages of modular construction in order to be able to further reduce the planning and construction time.
On the construction site near to our main headquarters in Borgstedt is an energy-efficient administrative wing with an 800 m² floor space and 3,600 m² outside area. We have also built modern garage facilities in a steel skeleton structure, which like the main building is heated environmentally friendlily using biomass. In addition, the parking area contains an accommodation area for vehicle inspections and a side room, which is used as a storage area and boiler room. There are also uncovered purely parking facilities available.
The interior of the building is marked by modern, economical design. Of course, our planning team also considered all technical fixtures required in accordance with room specifications, such as a ventilation system with heat recovery for the changing and sanitary areas and a comprehensive lighting concept. A further part of the complex is the customs office, which in future will serve as a central office for the ‘Kontrolleinheiten Verkehrswege’ customs office.
The construction came about as part of the public private partnership activities with the SANI group as general contractor. The property remains the property of the investors found by SANI, who rent it to the customs office.
